We’ve developed a report to explain how the Goodwill Offset account, or consolidation difference in Oracle #FCCS, is calculated. The report shows the holding company’s investment in its subsidiary with its elimination, and the subsidiary’s net equity with its elimination, and shows users whether the difference is positive or negative. This is influenced by retained earnings and losses over the years and by translation differences in equity and investments accounts, but it is a valuable support for completing final consolidation entries.
