Who remembers the good old #HFM TXT? That 13-fields file with .dat extension that we upload with Load Data?
We used it today, and it still provides great satisfaction. Sure, it’s not Data Management with direct integration between accounting and HFM, but it’s a must-have for speeding up data entry operations, bypassing XLS files.
The suggested solution is:
1- Upload P&L and BS Closing balances with this file;
2- Upload the movements and other information for the Note with an Excel Input Package.
Strength: Significant time savings, with thousands of records uploaded in just a few seconds.
Weakness: Lacking a direct interface with accounting, the file information must be constructed using various formulas and VLOOKUPs in the Excel source from Trial Balances.
